Matter Conversion - Back Alley - Titmouse 5-Second Day

Matter Conversion is a short animated film made for Titmouse 5-Second Day. This project was directed by my partner, Jacqueline Yu, who was also responsible for the story (writing and boards) and animation.

My role in this project was set design, production backgrounds, compositing and editing. For this project, we've opted for a more 3D-heavy approach by modelling the set, matte painting set extensions and painting over renders at different angles to save time. That strategy was taken due to the tight schedule we had at hand.

Matte Painted set extension. Looks really distorted from this angle, but it works with all the cameras in the set (see next image).
